Westell Announces New Chief Technology Officer
Adding extensive knowledge to a strong management team
AURORA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Westell Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL), a global leader of intelligent site and outside plant solutions, announces the appointment of Ben Stump as the company’s new Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Stump will be responsible for corporate strategy, product management, advanced technology, services, and marketing for Westell.
Mr. Stump has more than 15 years of Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) and telecommunications experience specializing in technology, strategy, product line management, and engineering. Prior to joining Westell, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Kentrox (recently acquired by Westell) for more than five years. Additionally, he served in executive consulting roles for BCGI and DAX Technologies and numerous start-up companies. He was previously Vice President of Technology for Digicel USA and held leadership roles at Telcordia. He graduated with a Master’s Degree of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Lafayette College.
