Telecom Personal Paraguay Uses Westell for Intelligent Site Management

Reducing operating costs and improving site management of remote sites

AURORA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Westell Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL), a global leader of intelligent site, in-building wireless, and outside plant solutions, has been selected by Telecom Personal Paraguay for comprehensive site management of their base stations throughout Paraguay. The company is among the top three leading wireless providers in Paraguay.

Telecom Personal Paraguay is using the Kentrox Optima Management System^® and Remote RMM-1400 for generator management and fuel monitoring of both legacy and new generators. The power management solution enables the company to remotely monitor each generator’s fuel consumption to understand when refilling is necessary. When refills do occur, Optima provides details on the number of liters supplied to ensure the fuel invoice matches the actual amount.

The Kentrox intelligent site management solution by Westell is also providing Telecom Personal Paraguay the ability to remotely start and stop the generator as part of automated generator maintenance cycling. Alarms and reports are provided to automatically notify the company of potential issues. Environmental monitoring is provided, including monitoring site temperature and humidity, to ensure site and equipment safety and longevity.
