Enhancing the Customer’s Intelligent Site Management Experience

AURORA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Westell Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL), a global leader of intelligent site and outside plant solutions, will be launching Apple® iOS and AndroidTM mobile applications for the Kentrox® Optima Management System® in January 2014. Optima, an intelligent site management solution, improves a service provider’s and tower operator’s monitoring, management, and control of critical site infrastructure.

Field technicians and Network Operations Center (NOC) users need a complete view and control of their networks from anywhere. The new Optima mobile applications allow easy access to monitor the functionality of site infrastructure from virtually any iOS and Android device. Power, security, communications, and environmental management are critical applications that can be managed through the user’s mobile device, providing dramatically improved ease of use and accessibility.

The Optima mobile applications, developed on native iOS and Android operating systems, feature the following:

  • Access to and a comprehensive view of the entire network and site information from virtually anywhere
  • Monitoring of critical fault and performance data including real-time status, alarms, and measurements
  • Event and real-time site management
  • Easy creation of trouble tickets when issues exist
